Alappuzha — Alleppey to most travellers — is where Kerala slows down. Days here are measured in the drift of a houseboat, the sound of a paddle, and the smell of fish curry from a village kitchen on the bank.

Tea Hills & Misty Mountains
Munnar sits high in the Western Ghats, wrapped in tea gardens and morning mist. It is the cool, quiet counterweight to Kerala's coast — long viewpoints, winding roads and air that smells of tea leaf and eucalyptus.
Best time: September to May; carry a light jacket year-round
Culture, History & Coastal Charm
Kochi is Kerala's front door: a port city layered with Portuguese, Dutch, Jewish and Malayali history, now full of galleries, cafés and quiet heritage streets that reward slow walking.
